How Great is Our God!!!
How Great Thou Art!!!
These are 2 of my very favorite songs...and I love them to be sung...1st one and then the other!!!
I go into such praise and worship...such intimacy with the LORD...with these 2 songs...whether I'm singing them or they are playing in the background as I write or go about my day...like now.
What peace! What joy!!! Just to know how great He is!!
He is in control!!!
My God is in control!!! My creator! My maker! My potter! My shepherd! My husband! My all in all!!!
I'm so glad He's in control!
This is what James means in chapter 1 of the book written in his name...when he says, "Count it all joy!"
Such peace that passes all understanding...is what I'm resting in right now...
I mean I can leave this spot...I can move out from this abiding place...the Secret Place of the Most High!
I mean, He does not force me to stay!
He just makes it soooo wonderful that I can't leave...I pray that I will never leave...for it is a place that I am allowed to stay full-time...not just part-time...
I used to think that to be so "spiritual"...to just want to bask in Jesus all the time...made me no earthly good...that I was lazy...wasting time...
LOL!!!! I mean roll around in the laughter...the LORD's laughter at the foolishness to think that time with and in the LORD could ever be a waste of time....
Can you hear the rolling laughter...across the clouds ...and throughout the universe?
To think...that we the finite...the ones who can not add one cubit to our height ...
Us...humans...who can't walk, or talk, or move without our God...except we makes a mess of everything around us!
David the Psalmist knew this! He panted after God! He'd says this is the world and the mess I'm in...and then He'd praise the LORD with all his heart...even dance before the LORD without any shame or doubt!!!
Mary knew...when her sister was so busy doing everything perfectly...Mary sat at the LORD's feet and worshipped Him...moving from Marthaing to Marying is such a major move for us...but what ultimate joy fills us when we do...
The last few weeks...there's just soooo much that has gone on in my life...and my little family...and my extended family...and my warriors on the wall...and my fb family and friends...and the Church...and our nation...and the world...
I mean we could be like Henny Penny in the children's story...and run off half-cocked and cry..."the sky is falling..."
But we know better don't we?
God is in His Holy Temple and all is right with the world!!
How do I know this?
By the Word of God!!
You know that woman who broke the bottle of perfume and washed Jesus' feet with her hair ... well, even the disciples thought that she was wasting money...as well as time...and did our Jesus stop her?
Not on your life! Did He know that she was more obedient than all in the room?
Yess!!!!
Worshipping the LORD with all our heart, mind, soul, money, time....I mean it's all His anyway!!!
I'm His! Mine is His!!
Do I live in a glass building? Am I protected from all that is in this earth?
No sirreeee!!! I'm here ... alive and well!!
I'm experiencing...just like you...but, I do know a secret...
You may know it, also.
I know that it is all about Jesus and His Kingdom!
I know that He is returning...and much sooner than some of us are noticing...
His Kingdom is coming on earth as it is in Heaven!!
It's at the time that all around us is breaking apart...that we are told to look up! Our redemption draweth nigh!!
He's got the whole world in His hands...we 've sung since childhood...my grandgirl just learned last year for her pre-school program...
I not only know this...I believe it!
I believe the promises in God's Word!
A promise from God is not like a promise from man...it is always kept!
It is more like a vow in a marriage that is not to be broken...saith God!
He's our husband...we're His bride!
Israel has a final destination and it will come to pass.
So does the Church!
Which nations will align with the Church and Israel and be saved?
As we stand across this world...leaning on the LORD...trusting...and shouting that...
Our God is in Control!!!
Continue in all that you know to do...keeping all that the LORD has commanded us to do...
We've not seen anything yet!
The best is yet to come!
